Advanced Business and Customer Service Technology, TCC (AB11) Technical Certificate of Credit
This program is only offered at Department of Corrections sites.
The Advanced Business and Customer Service Technology (BCST) technical certificate program is designed to introduce the importance of effectively managing time, stress, and change as it relates to work behavior and quality of work with emphasis on skills using word processing software and spreadsheet software through course demonstrations, laboratory exercises, and projects. This program builds on the existing BCST TCC as a stackable credential for continued education for Department of Corrections students.
Program Outcomes: Graduates will effectively prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and maintain organized workspaces for productivity. They will create, modify, and manage documents, including letters, memos, and spreadsheets, using industry-standard software. Additionally, they will demonstrate strong customer service skills in professional interactions.

- To enroll in this program, students must have completed the Business and Customer Service Technology TCC [BA21]

BCST 1050Word Processing Concepts
Pre-requisite(s): BCST 1010 This course provides the skills necessary to use word processing software through course demonstrations, laboratory exercises, and projects. Students will work with existing documents to learn the functions and features of the word processing application. Topics include word processing concepts, customizing documents, formatting content, working with visual content, organizing content, reviewing documents, sharing and securing content |

BCST 1060Spreadsheet Applications
Pre-requisite(s): BCST 1010 This course provides instruction on the use of spreadsheet software through course demonstrations, laboratory exercises and projects. Topics include spreadsheet concepts, creating and manipulating data, formatting data and content, creating and modifying formulas, presenting data visually and collaborating and securing data. |
