Engineering Drafter's Assistant - ED31 Technical Certificate of Credit
The Engineering Drafter’s Assistant Technical Certificate of Credit endows students with the prospect to begin on the career pathway toward advancement in the drafting profession. Additionally, the program provides opportunities to upgrade present knowledge and skills or to retrain in drafting practices and software. This technical certificate of credit will also serve as an exit point for high school dual enrollment students needing a point of exit for employment purposes.
Requirements:
- Submit a completed application and application fee
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Submit official high school transcript or High School Equivalency transcript
- Submit official college transcripts, if applicable
- Present acceptable SAT or ACT scores taken within the last 60 months, or acceptable ACCUPLACER, COMPASS or ASSET scores taken within the last 60 months. Documentation on a college transcript of successful completion of appropriate courses from a regionally accredited college or university may be accepted in lieu of test scores.

Introduces basic CAD functions while presenting essential principles and practices for line relationships, scale, and geometric construction. |

DFTG 11053D Mechanical Modeling
Weekly Contact Hours: Lecture - 2 Lab 2 - 4 Lab 3 - 0 Pre-requisite(s): None Co-requisite(s): None In the 3D Mechanical Modeling course, the student becomes acquainted with concepts of the software related to Parametric modeling for mechanical drafting. The student will develop the skills necessary to create 3D models and presentation/working drawings. |

DFTG 2010Engineering Graphics
Weekly Contact Hours: Lecture - 2 Lab 2 - 4 Lab 3 - 0 Pre-requisite(s): None Co-requisite(s): None Covers the basics of computer terminology, input and output devices, file formatting, file management, for CAD software. Introduces students to the fundamentals of geometric construction, scale reading line relationship and basic history of the drafting concepts. Student will also be introduced to basic and intermediate CAD commands and procedures, and drafting concepts and principals. |
