
Wiregrass Georgia Technical College Foundation Scholarships:
Wiregrass Georgia Technical College (WGTC) is supported by two solid foundations: Wiregrass Georgia Technical College Foundation North, serving Atkinson, Ben Hill, Coffee, Irwin, and Wilcox counties, and the Wiregrass Georgia Technical College Foundation South, serving Berrien, Brooks, Cook, Echols, Lanier, and Lowndes counties.
Both Foundations offer dozens of scholarships and student assistance funds each semester for qualifying students who complete the scholarship application process. Current Wiregrass students must apply for Scholarships and Assistance each semester through our online system at wiregrass.awardspring.com

How to Apply:
Students will initially need to “create an account” using their student email account and then apply.
The student application includes:
- General information
- A minimum of two recommendations
- An unofficial copy of your transcript
- Several questions about “need” and program of study
Many scholarships are merit-based requiring students to meet specific criteria to be awarded. AwardSpring will automatically apply your application to the scholarships you are eligible for based on the answers to your application questions. Application opening and closing dates are listed above and in the academic planner. Students may receive messages through the email provided when registered in AwardSpring. Be sure your email provider has marked noreply@mail.awardspring.com as safe. If you do not see a message regarding your award status in your inbox, check your junk or spam folder.
How long is the review process? How do I know if I received a scholarship?
The process may take a few weeks, It is your responsibility to visit your dashboard and ensure your references were completed. Check the Professional Recommendations tab to be sure your 1 letter of recommendation has been submitted. You want to see STATUS: COMPLETED on 1 request.
What else should I know?
Incomplete scholarship applications will not be reviewed. The Foundation Office is not responsible for notifying students of incomplete applications. Merit-based scholarships are evaluated based on grades (transcripts), letter(s) of recommendation, and completion of the questions. Applications for these scholarships are accepted the semester before they are awarded. Be sure you have completed a FAFSA.
