Accelerated Career Diploma

Accelerated Career Pathways give eligible students an exciting opportunity to fast-track their education. With this program, students can earn both a high school diploma and one of the following:

An Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS)
A Technical Diploma
An Approved Program Leading to Licensure (PLL)
Two Approved Paired Technical Certificates of Credit (TCCs)

Students interested in pursuing Accelerated Career Diploma should first contact their High School Counselor.

High School Requirements:

2 English Courses (including EOC course)
2 Mathematics Courses (including EOC course)
2 Science Courses (including EOC course)
2 Social Studies Courses*
1 Health/Fitness Course

Students may replace one Social Studies course with an additional Math course. Local School Districts may NOT add additional requirements above the state minimum.

Technical College Credential Requirements:

Air Conditioning, Construction, Industrial Systems, Telecommunications, and Welding
TCCs (any 2 of the following):
- Air Conditioning Electrical Technician (ACK1)
- Air Conditioning Technician Assistant (AZ31)
- Basic Shielded Metal Arc Welder (FS31)
- Cable Installation Specialist (CIS1)
- Gas Metal Arc Welder (GM31)
- General Construction Assistant (GC41)
- Industrial Electrician (IE41)
- Industrial Fluid Power Technician (IF11)
- Low Voltage System Installer (LV21)
Aerospace TCCs:
- Aircraft Assembly Technician I (AA61)
- AT71 Aircraft Composites Technician (AT71)
- Automotive Technology TCCs (any two of the following):
- Auto Electrical/Electrical Systems Tech (AE41)
- Automotive Climate Control Systems (AH21)
- Auto Chassis Tech Specialist (ASG1)
Barbering TCCs:
- Barbering Assistant I (BST1)
- Barbering Assistant (BA71)
Criminal Justice TCCs:
- Criminal Justice Specialist (CJ21)
- Advanced Criminal Justice Specialist (AF71)
Design and Media Production TCCs:
- Graphic Design and Prepress Technician (GD21)
- Design and Media Production Specialist (DAM1)
Diesel Technology TCCs:
- Diesel Electrical and Electronics Systems (DE11)
- Diesel Truck Maintenance Technician (DTM1)
Diesel and Welding Combo TCC’s:
- Diesel Electrical and Electronics Systems (DE11)
- Basic Shielded Metal Arc Welder (FS31)
Early Childhood Care and Education TCCs:
- Child Development Specialist (CD61)
- Early Childhood Care and Education Basics (EC31)
Emergency Services TCCs:
- Emergency Medical Responder (EB71)
- Pre-Hospital EMS Operations (PEO1)
Entrepreneurship + TCC Combo:
- Entrepreneurship (EN11) can be combined with a TCC from any area EXCEPT
  Health Science; Law, Public Safety, Corrections, and Security; Radiologic
  Technology; and Registered Nursing
Nursing TCCs:
- Nurse Aide (CN21) or
- Fast Track Nurse Aide (NAF5) and
- Geriatric Care Assistant (GC11) *NAST is a pre-req for GERT courses
Precision Machining and Manufacturing TCCs:
- Mill Operator (MP11)
- Basic Machining Operator (BMO1)

The ACE Grant fully covers the cost of the selected pathway and provides funding until program completion for all public Georgia high school students, with no limit on the number of hours. Students interested in receiving the ACE Grant should complete the GSFAPPS on the GA Futures website.

Transitioning to the University System After Accelerated Career Diploma Graduation:

Students planning to enroll in a University System of Georgia school after earning an Accelerated Career Diploma should consult their chosen institution to determine any additional admission requirements.
