Wiregrass to offer summer camps for kids

Valdosta, GA. Wiregrass Georgia Technical College is hosting fun and educational camps this summer.

The Valdosta Campus will be hosting two camps, Nail Tech Kids Camp, and C.S.I. Crime Scene Investigation Camp.

The Cosmetology Department is hosting the Nail Tech Kids Camp for students in grades second to eighth. Students will learn to perform manicures and pedicures. They will get to create nail art while learning proper sanitation measures. The camp will be held on the Valdosta Campus on May 30, 31 and June 1 from 8:00 a.m. until noon. Registration is $40 which includes materials, snacks, t-shirt and pizza party.

The C.S.I. (Crime Scene Investigation) Kid’s Camp will be held June 21 and 22 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The C.S.I. Camp is for kids entering second grade up to high school seniors. Cost of the camp is $35 per student or $60 for two participants. This cost includes materials, lunch, and a snack. Students will learn how to gather evidence for scientific analysis in a crime laboratory.
