Valdosta, GA., Wiregrass Georgia Technical College Foundation is hosting its popular Corks & Forks fundraising event on Thursday, March 13 at Hallabrook Hill in Valdosta. Tickets are available for the public to purchase and attend. This event is a culinary experience of small plate samplings by local chefs and restaurants along with a wine pairing. Corks & Forks raises funds to provide student scholarships and program assistance for the College. Participating in the event this year are Stanley Cox and Amy Cox with 306 North/Covington’s, Nick Harden with Big Nick’s, Chris Milstead and Cliff Jones with Fairway Tavern, Mikki Hudson with Jessie’s Restaurant, Jessica Blackburn with Wiregrass Southern Bistro (Quitman), and Hunter Wills with Wiregrass Culinary Arts Program. New this year will be a gourmet coffee bar by Dirty Dozen Coffee Company.
Each attendee will be able to visit each food station for their menu item and a tasting of their paired wine suggestion. Guests can also enjoy live music from The Blues Factor Band Duo, a few silent auction items, and a cash bar. For an added element of fun, the college will have two opportunities to win great gifts donated by local businesses, some unique items specialty-crafted by a program at Wiregrass and gift certificates to Wiregrass’ live work programs. The event will be held from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Tickets to the event are $100 per person and sponsorships are available for those businesses or individuals who would like to support the College.
