Valdosta, GA., Wiregrass Georgia Technical College announces application fees will be waived during March. Those interested in applying for the Summer or Fall Semester 2024 can apply online at Wiregrass.edu and save money during March. Summer Semester classes begin on May 13.

Two campuses will host an Open Houses in March. The Ben Hill-Irwin Campus Open House will be held on Tuesday, March 12 from 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm and the Valdosta Campus event is on Tuesday, March 19 from 4:30 – 6:30 pm in the Student Center. This is a great opportunity to meet the instructors and learn about the programs.

The Valdosta Campus is excited to announce beginning Fall Semester students can enroll in the new Medical Laboratory Technology program. This program will be offered as a Degree program that prepares graduates for careers as a Medical Laboratory Technician. Students can begin taking required core classes for this program starting Summer Semester.

The Ben Hill-Irwin Campus will be accepting new students for Summer Semester in evening Automotive Technology classes, Telecommunications and Security, and Industrial Systems Technology. The Coffee Campus is offering the popular Cosmetology program for evening classes, and accepting new students in the Commercial Truck Driving program, which is only eight weeks long.

There are over 100 programs that qualify for the HOPE Career Grant. Those who qualify for the grant could qualify for additional monies to help pay tuition, books, and fees. Fall Semester classes will begin on August 12. The college’s One-Stop Enrollment and Success Center can answer questions and assist new students with class schedules.
