Congratulations to Michael Hendley and Carl Smith for being awarded scholarships for Spring Semester at Wiregrass Tech.

Fitzgerald, GA — Students on the Ben Hill-Irwin Campus of Wiregrass Georgia Technical College learned at a special scholarship event that their hard work is paying off. Thanks to the generous donation of friends and supporters of the college, two students were awarded scholarships that will help pay for tuition, fees, books, and/or supplies needed for their programs.

Those receiving scholarships for Spring Semester were: Michael Hendley (Technical Specialist) Roger Crenshaw Memorial Scholarship, and Carl Smith (Telecommunications) Buck and Libby Anderson Scholarship. These scholarships were merit based and applicants had to complete an application as well as provide letters of support.

Michael Hendley shared that he plans to use his scholarship money towards his tuition and fees since he is paying for his education out of pocket.
