Wiregrass Announces Fall Scholarship Recipients for the Coffee Campus

Douglas, GA— Wiregrass Georgia Technical College Foundation awarded multiple scholarships to help students complete their education and develop workforce skills for the Fall Semester. Recipients from the Coffee Campus were awarded a scholarship made possible by generous college supporters. The scholarships will help pay for tuition, fees, books, and/or supplies needed for their programs. The scholarships were merit-based and applicants had to complete an application and provide letters of support.

The recipients are listed with their program of study and the scholarship they were awarded Valeria Ayala, Phlebotomy, Hanna Family Scholarship; Kayla Perry, Associate of Science in Nursing, Francis Lott Douglas Lions Club; and Alden Smith, Practical Nursing, William H. Crider, Jr. Scholarship. Kayla Perry shared this about receiving this scholarship, “Mr. Francis Lott had a spirit of generosity and touched so many lives and I strive to do the same as I venture out into my career as a Registered Nurse. I’m beyond thankful and truly honored for this scholarship. Thank you to the Douglas Lions Club and Mr. Francis Lott."
