Wiregrass Georgia Technical College Local Board of Directors
Electronic Vote Notification

Special Note: Out of an abundance of caution surrounding the coronavirus, Wiregrass Georgia Technical College cancelled the Local Board of Directors meeting scheduled for March 19 and instituted a plan for electronic votes from its members.

In order to move forward with naming the new Health Sciences Building after a donor, the Wiregrass Foundation South presented and approved by electronic vote to change the name of the building. As is procedure, Wiregrass then requested approval from the Local Board of Directors to rename the new health sciences building to the Edward and Rhonda Mark Health Sciences Building. Wiregrass Board of Directors must also give approval to present the official name of the building to the State Board of Directors.

After the Local Board has properly motioned and seconded and voted to proceed with the renaming, the request will be sent to the state for approval. This will require a quorum in the electronic vote process as it does with board member presence at each meeting. This vote may be ratified upon the next meeting of the Local Board of Directors.
