Fitzgerald, GA – The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (HCP) Course is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support. This course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. BLS for Healthcare Providers teaches skills using the American Heart Associations’ proven Practice-While-Watching technique, which allows instructors to observe students, provide feedback, and guide students’ acquisition of skills. This four-hour training session includes Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and AED. A two-year certification e-card is awarded upon completion. This will be offered on the Ben Hill-Irwin Campus of Wiregrass Georgia Technical College on October 14 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The cost of the course is $70. To register or for more information contact Nancy Mitchell at 229-468-2074 or nancy.mitchell@wiregrass.edu or go to eventbrite.com to register online. The deadline to register is October 11.
