Fitzgerald, GA – The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Course is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support. This course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). BLS for Healthcare Providers teaches skills using the American Heart Associations’ proven Practice-While-Watching technique, which allows instructors to observe students, provide feedback, and guide students’ acquisition of skills. This four-hour training session includes Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, and AED. A two-year certification ecard is awarded upon completion. This will be offered on the Ben Hill-Irwin Campus of Wiregrass Georgia Technical College on July 27 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The cost of the course is $70.
