Fitzgerald, GA – The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (HCP) Course is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support. This course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. BLS for Healthcare Providers teaches skills using the American Heart Association's proven Practice-While-Watching technique, which allows instructors to observe students, provide feedback and guide students’ acquisition of skills. This four-hour training session includes Adult, Child and Infant CPR and AED. A two-year certification card is awarded upon completion. This course will be offered on the Ben Hill-Irwin Campus of Wiregrass Georgia Technical College on Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We are also offering a second class the same day beginning at 1:00 p.m. and ending 5:30 p.m. The cost of the course is $70.
