Ocilla, GA – Wiregrass Georgia Technical College is holding an open house for the location of Adult Education and GED Testing Center location in Irwin County. The Adult Education classes and offices were recently moved to the Ocilla Housing Authority Community Center at 202 East Valdosta Ave in Ocilla. The reason for the move was to provide more space for classes and to give adult education students greater access to college activities, events, and resources. There are currently five students enrolled in adult education classes on the Irwin County Adult Education Class. We are looking to grow the class and serve more students, those interested are invited to attend the open house event.

The open house will be held on Wednesday, August 30 from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon. There will be light refreshments along with program highlights. Mary Kay Floyd is the instructor for Adult Education Services at the Irwin County Adult Education Center.

Wiregrass provides free adult education services to the community. These services include adult basic education classes and high school equivalency exam (GED and HiSET) preparation courses. For information on Adult Education programs please call 229-468-2272.
