Summit to Student Success!

Wiregrass Georgia Technical College is excited to host the 2019 EAB Regional Summit, “Summit to Student Success!” The event will be relevant to both 2-year and 4-year institutions. It promises to be a fantastic day of networking and sharing best practices.

The event will be held on June 6, 2019 at the Valdosta Campus of Wiregrass Georgia Technical College. Conference Registration Fee is $50.00 per person. Lunch and snacks will be provided.

Wednesday, June 5

  • 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. – Optional Pre-Summit Workshop. Let us know if you want to come on campus early for a pre-summit workshop. Topic and activities will be driven by those in attendance.
  • 6:00 p.m. – Networking Dinner. This event is not provided in the registration cost and will be held at a local restaurant. Please let us know if you plan to attend so we can make the reservation accordingly.

Thursday, June 6

  • 8:30 a.m. – Welcome and Breakfast
  • 9:00 a.m. – Creating a Coordinated Care Network to Enhance Student Success, Mrs. Angela Hobby and Dr. Jammie Wilbanks from Wiregrass Georgia Technical College
    This session will describe the process of creating a coordinated care network (CCN), from identifying a problem to process development to process review and improvement. The presenters will share both process-based and team-based CCNs that have enhanced student success and improved department workflow. The presenters will share the process from the development stages through implementation, along with a framework for you to implement your own CCN on your own campus. Using the CCN worksheet, session participants will work together to identify opportunities for implementing either a process-based or team-based CCN at their institution.
  • 10:15 a.m. – Achieving Pathways Goals with Student Centric Design, Andrew Ninnemann from EAB
    Achieving Pathways Goals with Student-Centered Design breaks down the complexity and uncertainty of the Guided Pathway model into four discrete steps.
  • 11:45 a.m. – Lunch will be provided
  • 1:00 p.m. – Case Study Presentations from various Universities and Colleges.

  • 2:30 p.m. – Breakout Sessions hosted by various Universities and Colleges.
